JoSay is a real-time translation communication app developed and operated by JoSay Team. When this Privacy Policy refers to "JoSay," "we," "us," or "our," it means JoSay Team and the JoSay application. By using JoSay, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide you with a smooth, functional experience.

Account & profile data (if you register):

• Display name or username you choose to set
• Email address (if used for registration or login)
• Preferred language setting

Usage data collected automatically:

• Device type, operating system version, and app version
• Language preferences selected within the app
• Number of chat rooms created or joined (aggregated, not per-message)
• Crash reports and error logs to help us fix bugs
• General region (country level only, not precise location)

What we do NOT collect:

• The content of your conversations or messages
• Your precise GPS location
• Your contacts list or address book
• Any biometric data

The data we collect is used for the following purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and improve the JoSay service
• To apply your language preference so translation works correctly
• To diagnose and fix technical issues or crashes
• To analyze aggregate usage patterns and improve app performance

JoSay's core function is real-time translation. Here is how your conversation data is handled:

• Messages are transmitted to our translation engine for real-time processing
• Translated messages are delivered to the intended participant(s) in the chat room
• We do not store the content of your conversations on our servers after the session ends
• Room codes are temporary and expire after a session is closed

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion — Request that we delete your account and associated data
• Portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

JoSay is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Your continued use of JoSay after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
